1、不要随意涂改：在高考英语作文的写作中，随意涂改是十分忌讳的，因为这会严重的影响到卷面的整洁。因此，在想要涂改的时候，应先考虑好，是否必须要涂改，如果没有什么词汇或者语法等上的错误，那么就不要涂改了。如果是存在错误，必须要涂改的，那么在涂改的时候，也要尽量在保持自己卷面的整洁。
2、最好事先打好草稿：在英语作文的写作中，先打好草稿再进行写作，这样往往能够很好的保持卷面的整洁。当然，有些同学在前面的做题上花费了较多的时间，因此，没有时间再打草稿了，但是，也要先把自己的写作构思好再下笔，避免自己在中途写作中，涂涂改改。
3、平时多练练自己的英文字：俗话说的好，养兵千日用兵一时，在平时将自己的英文字练得好看了，那么在高考中，就能够发挥很好的效应了。优美的文字总是能够很容易得到老师们的青睐，不过，即使英文字没有得很漂亮，也要注意将自己的文字写得整齐规范。
二、文章的言语特色
在写作中，文章中的言语特色往往就是文章的亮点，出彩点。在英语作文的写作中，我们要对词汇的选择、句式的变化、行文的流畅等等各个方面进行反复的推敲，精心的润色，努力提升自己作文的档次，让自己的作文脱颖而出，向高分迈进。而这些，就需要我们在平时多积累。有些同学很想让自己的文章出彩，但是在写作的时候却是捉襟见肘，左右都不逢源。其实，如果在平时多积累一些，就不会出现这样的现象了。
1、万能句的积累。在各种各样的英语作文的写作中，其实有些句子是通用的，在平时将这些句子背下来，在考试中进行模仿或者套用，是十分有利的。例如
1）There was a time when… 曾经有段时间…
2）It takes some time before… 过了多久才……
3）There is no doubt that + 句子~~ (毫无疑问的……)
4）An advantage of ~~~ is that + 句子(……的优点是……)
5）The reason why + 句子 ~~~ is that + 句子(……的原因是……)
6）So + 形容词 + be + 主词 + that + 句子(如此……以致于……)
7)It is time + S + 过去式 (该是……的时候了)
8）Those who ~~~ (……的人……)
9）The fact is that…, which accounts for… 事实上是….， 这说明…
10）It’s necessary/important… (for sb.) to do sth. (对于…来说) 做某事是有必要的/重要的…
如以上这些句子在文章中运用的自由度就很大，而这些句子本身就运用了一些较为优美的句式，如若在自己的英语作文中，运用到这些万能句子，可以为自己的文章增加亮点。
2、开头、衔接与结尾句的积累。一个优美的开头往往就能够牵动评卷老师的视线，给予评卷老师一个好的印象。巧妙的衔接，既能够保证行文的流畅，又能够美化自己的文章。同时，一个好的结尾，能够更加完美的为自己的文章画上句号。而无论是作文开头，还是衔接与结尾，我们都可以在平时中积累。
如英语作文中常用的开头有：As far as ...is concerned；It goes without saying that... ；As the proverb says；It`s generally recognized that... ；It`s likely that ...；It`s hardly that... ；What calls for special attention is that...需要特别注意的是；There’s no denying the fact that...毫无疑问，无可否认；.Nothing is more important than the fact that... 等等。
常用的衔接有：However, we have to look at the other side of the coin, that is...然而我们还得看到事物的另一方面，即；But the problem is not so simple. Therefore然而问题并非如此简单，所以…… ；In view of the present station.鉴于目前形势；等等。
常用的结尾有：All things considered,总而言之；It can be concluded from the discussion that...从中我们可以得出这样的结论；From my point of view, it would be better if...在我看来……也许更好等等
这些开头、衔接与结尾的句式，虽然不是万能的句式，但是在文章的写作中，我们可以从中挑选出适合我们作文的句子，将自己的文章写得更加出彩。
三、文章的思想性
在高考的英语作文中，往往较为注重文章形式上的书写，技巧上的运用，而较少在意文章的思想性。虽然如此，但是我们在英语作文上的写作中，仍然要注意文章的思想性，虽不要求其要有多深刻，但是不能违背社会常理，道德规范等等。同时，文章思想性的体现还在于，在写作中要显现出自己的写作特色，真实的表达自己的想法，不能死死的套用万能的模板，要学会活用，也不能尽是说套话，废话，空话。有些同学在英语作文的写作中，一整篇文章，读下来，几乎都是一些万能句子，节奏上不紧凑，行文上不流畅，没有自己的写作风格特色，只是一味的套用，没有自己的思想。这样的文章就体现不出其中的思想性，即使在整篇文章中，没有用错的词汇，语法，句式等，也很难得高分。由此可看出，在文章的写作中，不仅要注意文章的写作技巧，还要注意文章的思想性，将我们的文章写得更加的完美。
在高考的英语作文写作中，我们要注意的问题很多，但是这些问题的注意，我们在平时的练习中就应该开始关注。如笔者以上提出的卷面的整洁，写作技巧的积累，还有文章的思想性，这些无一不需要同学们在平时练习中培养成良好的习惯。在高考中，作文想要得到高分，就要将作文的卷面，文章的言语特色，行文的流畅，文章的思想性等等这几个要素做好。

记得那是一个柔情似水的早晨，阳光照在我的脸上暖洋洋的。到了班级，按照以往的习惯，坐下立刻读书。“叮呤呤”清脆的上课铃打断了教室的喧闹，也结束了早自修。上沉寂的教室里，听见了英语老师那沉重而有力的脚步声。我们的英语老师是年过40的中年妇女，她慈爱的面荣使同学们对她无比爱戴。今天的朱老师有有些不一样，满脸笑容，好像有什么开心的事情。同学们都疑惑不解，更加安静了。终于，朱老师发话了：“同学们，今天，老师要和你们一起做个游戏，它的名字叫词语接龙。大家一定听说过，而也只是用汉字来表达，现在，我们已经学完了第一学期的所有单词，要来一次接龙比赛。”全班一下子沸腾起来，有的同学商量对策，有的同学沾沾自喜，还有的同学正赶忙背单词呢，真像一个热闹的菜市场。接着老师又说：“我来打个比方，比如说classmate--table-open，只要末尾的读音与下个单词的开头读音一样就可以了，每个人都有3次救助，能把不会做的题给下一位同学。”全班几乎欢呼起来，因为自从入初中，从来没有一次能痛痛快快地做游戏，这次终于能一展身手了。“从最左边的同学开始，我来出题目，题目是“box”。激烈的争夺战开始了，同学们互不相让，都选择最难的单词给“敌人”回答，恨不得一下子把“敌人”打败。我左顾右盼，终于等到了这题目，“book”，我大吃一惊，这太难了。我如临大敌，头上，手上，都渗出了一滴滴晶莹的汗珠。突然，我灵机一动“close”，我真佩服我的聪明才智，我轻轻地嘘了一口气，心想：刚才真险啊。真没想到我出的问题居然难倒了两位同学，抬头看看老师，老师正微笑着看着我点点头，我顿时信心百倍。转眼间又轮到我了，我以我那所学的知识打败了一个又一个的敌人，没有使用任何求助，别人呢，早已被我调遣的将军打败。我就这样，一直持续到下课那轻脆的下课铃再次响起。我都不敢相信自己会那么厉害，老师对我投来了满意的目光，同学们向我投来了惊讶的表情。我不在乎这些，我看着老师，发觉老师比昨天更加衰弱了，更加苍老了。我的心顿时沉重地掉入了无底洞，一直不停地坠着坠着。
老师因为有一颗慈爱的心才叫做老师，老师因为有一颗疼爱学生的心才叫做老师。老师为我们付出的'太多太多，而我们却付出的太少太少。老师为我们彻夜备课，而我们早已在梦乡之中，我们怎么能体会老师的心情呢？我们应该尊敬老师，不能仅针对爱好一门课程，而是要认真学好每一门课。这节英语课是别开生面的，更让我懂得了怎样学习的道理。
